Kitty Cat Costume Craze!

October 22, 2007 at 10:59 am by J*B*

Although Kitty may not be able to join you on a Pet Parade through town, (even though you may have a leash, I highly discourage it!) your cat can still partake in the Halloween festivities with his or her own cat costume.

Dress you little angle as a little Devil. Or dress your little devil as a little Angel.

Sky’s the limit at CostumeCraze and Spolied Rotten Kitties!

After all, cats, especially black ones, tend to epitomize the fun and spooky spirit of Halloween.

It would practically be blasphemous not to include the kitties this All Hollow’s Eve!

So Much Fun, It’s Scary!

October 11, 2007 at 10:15 am by J*B*

Hey, did you all know that I work for a luxury dog boutique? Quite fitting don’t you think? Anyway, every Halloween for the past three years, we hold an event called Howl-o-Ween.

This year promises to be the best and biggest yet! We have five judges for the doggie costume contests and we’ll be awarding all sorts of cool prizes. We also have free hot apple cider and gourmet treats for both dogs and their human companions. Best of all, we already have the block permit for around the boutique, and we are going to parade to an area called Market Commons, in Arlington, Virginia.

So, if you live in or around Washington D.C., come check us out at a.k.a. Spot on Saturday, October 27th, from 4 to 6 pm. Last year over 100 dogs came dressed up in adorable and creative costumes. Let’s see if we can break that number this year!

I’ll be working that day, so come say “Hi” to me at a.k.a. Spot in Arlington, (Clarendon) Virginia. I haven’t decided what to dress up as yet, but just look for the little blonde girl hugging all of the dogs!

Arrrr I Mean Grrrr — The Dog Pirate Costume!

October 8, 2007 at 6:45 pm by J*B*

I remember when costumes for pets could be found few and far between. Not any more. Nowadays, tons of cool costumes for your dog or cat can be found at the nearest Target. Or, at luxury Internet pet boutiques, like Wiggle-n-Waggle.

There are so many silly pet costumes out there; I don’t know which to feature. Maybe I should just devote the rest of October to Halloween and all of its fabulous pet costumes. I can literally fill a book … a really long book!

Wiggle-n-Waggle has the best Dog Pirate Costume I have seen on the Net so far. (And if you guys know anything about me, you know I have a thing for pirates!) Complete with skull hat and sewn-on sword (awesome!), have your first mate dress like a swashbuckling sea captain this Halloween!

Arrrrrr … I mean, Grrrrrr …

Fall Comfort in Cashmere!

October 8, 2007 at 6:16 pm by J*B*

Well, this little guy sure looks ready for Fall. Hey, could somebody tell that to the weather in the District? The temperature here struck a whopping 89 degrees today, and it is supposed to reach a scorching 92 tomorrow! I think we are all ready for the Fall.

And, nothing says autumn like an orange cashmere sweater. Soft comfy, luxurious … Ahhhhh, the pleasures of cashmere!

So, when the weather finally turns chilly, be sure to have this adorable Striped Cashmere Sweater Set, from Silver Spoon Luxury Pet Boutique, on hand for your walking buddy.

May the Force Be with Us

As far as I’m concerned, Halloween can’t come quick enough. Would you just take a look at these Star Wars costumes! I mean, really. Can you get any cuter?

Modern Tails Luxury Pet Boutique continues to amaze me with their line of pet costumes. Their Star Wars collection is both comprehensive and hysterical!

Channel your dark side and check out the Darth Vader getup complete with spooky Vader helmet.

Or, perhaps strong, little Yoda with his big, green ears, is more your good dog’s style .

And, if you are a Princess Leia fan, you have two costumes to choose from: the traditional Leia costume, or the Princess Leia Slave costume, which will drive all the studs in the yard crazy!

By the way, here’s a fun fact I learned from Modern Tails about my favorite Star Wars character, Chewbacca: the Wookie’s physical appearance and personality was based on George Lucas’ Alaskan Malamute, Indiana (who would later provide the name for another Lucasfilm character who we all know and love—Indiana Jones).
