July 17, 2007 at 12:40 am by J*B*

Hey, guys! Check it! It’s a FURarri! Get it? A FURarri! Hahahaha!

While looking for a new car (yep, thinking about trading in the good ole Honda Civic) I came across this beauty. Bet it can do zero to sixty in seconds around my living room … Well, provided it’s in Scout’s mouth, of course. Brings new meaning to “the zoomies,” doesn’t it?

Get this and other punderful plush toys at Lucy’s Dog House.

**Sorry for the teeny, tiny pic … it just makes it cuter, right?**

Hot Cats!

July 16, 2007 at 9:54 am by J*B*

Yawn! Man, I am so sleepy today. Guess it’s no wonder why I am gravitating to the pet beds this morning …

Ever notice how your cat loves to sunbathe? It’s like your fuzzy angel can’t get enough of the heat and will lay in the sunshine for hours practically burning a hole through the bed! Well, this is because cats love to be warm before they take naps. So, regardless of the weather outside (95 degrees today!) your cat will lay in the warmth of the sun.

Now, just think how much your kitty would love snoozing in warmth even if it’s nighttime. That’s why I think this heated bed is so awesome! Not only is it chic and soft, the Theraped Heated Pet Bed, available at Dolce Vita, has a low-power electrical system that provides warmth with complete safety for your cat.

Not only is warming heat calming for your kitty, heat also provides soothing comfort for aging pets.

Besides you, heat may be your cat’s best friend.

Tikilynn’s Cards & Notes—A Cat-Lover’s Dream

July 12, 2007 at 5:56 pm by J*B*

I am not afraid to admit it. In fact, I will yell it aloud: Hello, Pet-Petters. My name is J*B*, and I am a stationary junkie! I can’t get enough of cool thank-you cards, cute stickers and flowery papers.

So, when I saw these colorful fold-over note cards, I instantly fell in love. I have said it before, and I’ll say it again: simplicity speaks volumes, and as far as I’m concerned, these beautiful note cards by tikilynn scream, “Buy me! Buy me! Buy me!”

Artist, Alison Kim Mclaurin’s beautiful collection of correspondence cards is inspired by a former stray feline named, Tiki, and the brilliant beauty found in each new day. Each whimsical design was created by Alison and is lively enough to bring out the cat-lover in all of us!

In these days of email and electronic everything, it’s nice to send and receive a card in the mail that simply says, “Hello.” Alison’s cards will bring a smile to you and all of your nature-loving friends.

Here Come the Soniks!

July 9, 2007 at 8:56 pm by J*B*

When I buy Scout a new dog toy, the first thing she does is go right for the heart—aka the squeaker. As she does this, she bites down exuberantly on the squeaker about 100 times or more in desperation. This sometimes leads to sleep loss, on my part, especially when she decides to chew said toy at 3:30 in the morning.

If you have a similar issue or the squeakers of dog toys simply annoy you, you may want to try this new toy sensation: The Soniks!

Available at Active Dog Toys.com, Soniks use Silent Squeak technology that only dogs can hear. These plush toys contain ultrasonic squeakers that emit sounds above the normal range of human hearing. This means, the squeakers are perfect for both people and squeak-happy dogs!

And best of all, these “quiet” toys come in an entire family to choose from! I dig SubSonik Dog Toy … He reminds me of my husband … Just kidding, honey!

Happy July Fourth, Dogs!

July 4, 2007 at 2:16 pm by J*B*

Happy Independence Day, everybody! For us folks in the great country of the United States of America, it’s the day to celebrate our freedom and the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.

For Scout, it’s a dreaded day of loud fireworks, crazy bright lights and tipsy parents who won’t share their hamburgers or hot dogs. Sorry, Scouty …

So, in lue of this awesome day, I went on an Internet pursuit to find the coolest Patriotic-themed dog items the World Wide Web has to offer. And there was a lot!

Take the Denim Eagle Dog Jacket from The Gilded Paw, for example. This down and doggy blue denim jacket features an embroidered eagle proudly grasping the American flag in his powerful talons.

This Uncle Sam Costume, found at Posh Pet Glamour Boutique, simply cracks me up. If you plan on having any kind of patriotic party in the future, your guests will laugh out loud when they see your pooch dressed in this fully-lined, tuxedo-tailed Uncle Sam Costume, complete with bowtie and top hat.

Over at Kool Dog Café, you can choose from a large selection of Patriotic fresh-baked gourmet doggie treats, like Patriotic Brownies, Cupcakes, Dipped Bones and more! And of course, all of these cookies are baked with the best dog-friendly, healthy ingredients.

Let your red, white and blue shine! God-Bless our troops!
