July 30, 2007 at 8:07 am by J*B*I am a fan of henna tattoos, or the art of Mendhi (Mehndi). Mehndi is the application of henna as a temporary form of skin decoration, popular in the Middle East and South Asia. Its intricate designs are simply amazing, as well as the meaning behind certain motifs.
So, leave it to Bodhi Toys, the creators or the beautiful line Chinese-themed toys, to take the next step into India-themed toys.
Inspired by the delicate patterns of henna art, the artwork on their new India line were designed by a well-renown Mendhi artist. Both large and small Menhdi Balls are decorated with lotuses and leaves, and the Mendhi Mango (a toy which I positively love!) is a take on a customary and lucky mango motif.
