Site of the Month: Artsy Catsy
April 17, 2007 at 1:21 pm by J*B*One of the great things about being a writer for Pet-Pet is that I get the opportunity to spotlight really cool products and generous organizations specifically created to make animals, and the people who love them, smile. And sometimes, I come across sites or blogs that are so extra-special I want to shine two spotlights on them. So, if I literally had two spotlights, I would shine them both brightly on Artsy Catsy.
Artsy Catsy is an interesting (and funny!) blog that follow the trials and tribulations of 15 formerly feral cats who have inspired their four humans to start a new e-commerce business, which donates 10% of all proceeds to animal rescue organizations.
Artsy Catsy proudly sells unique artist-created gifts and accessories for cat and dog lovers alike. Their most popular product is their handmade Beaded Cat and Dog Bookmarks. These beautiful bookmarks come in two different forms—the traditional charm bookmark and a personalized photo frame bookmark. They also have unique artwork for sale, like pet portraits and painted gourd art!
Their CEO (Cat Executive Officer), Rocky, would like to say a word: “Hello all you pet-loving humans. Since I am the CEO of Arsty Catsy, my job is to get you to buy a bookmark… with my picture inside. After all, who wouldn’t want to see my handsome face every time they open a book? If I could read, I know I would want to. If you do so, I will reward you with virtual purrs and cuddles… and I won’t pee on you.”
Well, said, Rocky. Well said.
