Pink Polka Dog Does It Again!

April 26, 2007 at 2:30 pm by J*B*

Hi, all you Pet-Petters! This is Scout, and I have to let everyone know how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new tank top from Pink Polka Dog! Oh, you know Pink Polka Dog. The ultra-hip dog boutique made with the fashion-obsessed pooch in mind. My mommy tells me Miyuki is the president of PPD, but we all know who really runs the show, right, Snoopy? Okay, I have some butts to go smell. Later …

Sorry for the blurry pic, but as excited as Scout is about her brand-new, rockin’ skull tank top, she remains a bit camera shy and on the move.

Thanks, Miyuki. And congratulations on being included in the doggie fashion show event, sponsored by Swarovski Crystal, in L.A.! That’s huge news, people! You must check out Miyuki’s unique and handmade doggie couture at Pink Polka Dog.

Cutest. Cats. Ever.

April 25, 2007 at 2:05 pm by J*B*

I can’t stand how friggin’ cute my cats are. Seriously. I can’t get any work done. All I want to do is stare at them and join them in their love fest. I need help.

By the way, contrary to popular belief, this is not a two-headed cat. It is, in fact, two separate (and completely adorable) puds.

Get Jammy at Sniffy McGee’s

April 22, 2007 at 6:20 pm by J*B*

The following is a paid review.

Howyeh, lads and lasses! If ya be lookin’ for some class dog toys, designer collars, hot jewelry, and other shite, you’ll find the pot at the end of the rainbow when you check out Sniffy McGee’s!

While I was looking at all of Sniffy’s bloody cool products, I had to continuously tell myself to relax the cacks. After all, a hyper mommy with a credit card is a dangerous thing. So, I took in some deep breaths, put down the plastic, and surfed the day away.

The thing I really like about Sniffy McGee’s site is that it is so easy to navigate through. All of the items and accessories are placed into three different groups—Category, Style or Size—depending on how you want to shop.

I enjoy shopping by Style because Scout is a modern kinda dog, so I immediately found some awesome things to buy her in the “Mod Mutt” category, like the “Mod Birdie Collar, for example.

When I shared my excitement with Scout about the world of Sniffy McGee, she got this funny look in her eye, and mumbled something about how she really shouldn’t shop there … You know, something about her being a Scottish Border Collie and Sniffy’s being an Irish boutique. Whatever.

But, when I told her that she could pick out any toy she’d like on the site, she threw her paws in the air and barked, “Janey Mack! Pass me the black stuff, it’s time to get bulloxed!”

Join the hooley at Sniffy McGee’s!

Bad Spandex! No Spandex!

April 19, 2007 at 7:58 pm by J*B*

Ever since my brush with endocarditis, the doctors told me that in order to keep my heart happy and healthy, I should exercise at least three times a week at a local gym. Okay, I thought no problem. And, for the most part, it isn’t a problem. In fact, I kinda like it… except for one thing. How do I say this? Well, maybe someone out there can explain it to me: what’s with the spandex, people?

sweet-jogging.jpg

Honestly, I don’t get it. I mean, for biking okay, but not for yoga, lifting, or whatever else you do at the gym… spandex is totally… ew! Nothing needs to be that tight. Nothing.

So, you’re probably wondering what spandex and pet fashion have to do with other. Well, directly, and thankfully, nothing (double ew). However, when I exercise, I wear running pants and a T-shirt. So, I decided to get Scout this cool All In One Jogging Suit , so when we run together, we match… and strangely garner lots of points and giggles from the other joggers.

This exclusive athletic wear can be found at Hands ‘N’ Paws. So, when you go running with your dog who is decked out in his or her matching jogging suit, just remember, the other joggers are laughing WITH you not AT you.

Site of the Month: Artsy Catsy

April 17, 2007 at 1:21 pm by J*B*

One of the great things about being a writer for Pet-Pet is that I get the opportunity to spotlight really cool products and generous organizations specifically created to make animals, and the people who love them, smile. And sometimes, I come across sites or blogs that are so extra-special I want to shine two spotlights on them. So, if I literally had two spotlights, I would shine them both brightly on Artsy Catsy.

Artsy Catsy is an interesting (and funny!) blog that follow the trials and tribulations of 15 formerly feral cats who have inspired their four humans to start a new e-commerce business, which donates 10% of all proceeds to animal rescue organizations.

Artsy Catsy proudly sells unique artist-created gifts and accessories for cat and dog lovers alike. Their most popular product is their handmade Beaded Cat and Dog Bookmarks. These beautiful bookmarks come in two different forms—the traditional charm bookmark and a personalized photo frame bookmark. They also have unique artwork for sale, like pet portraits and painted gourd art!

Their CEO (Cat Executive Officer), Rocky, would like to say a word: “Hello all you pet-loving humans. Since I am the CEO of Arsty Catsy, my job is to get you to buy a bookmark… with my picture inside. After all, who wouldn’t want to see my handsome face every time they open a book? If I could read, I know I would want to. If you do so, I will reward you with virtual purrs and cuddles… and I won’t pee on you.”

Well, said, Rocky. Well said.
