Have you ever pondered the yummier flavored water for humans being altered for pet consumption? I may have, but not too seriously. Now luxury bottled water for pets is a reality. Mollibrands, Inc. started up to create just that - and so much more.
First and most importantly, their water for dogs and cats is healthier for animals. The levels of chlorine and fluoride in regular, unfiltered tap water are potentially harmful for pets. Molli’s Choice water is made with special “vet-approved formulations.” Ingredients and product specs include “Non-Carbonated - No Chlorine - No Fluoride - Contains Taurine and Calcium - Natural Flavoring - First Rate Filler Operations, Flavor and Formulation Houses.”
And also flavors, like Roasted Turkey, Roasted Chicken, Beef Tenderloin, plus (Mmm) Bacon Delight, which is just for dogs.
I’m not sure about the flavors, though. I’m finicky enough about my water; I love tasty beverages. Do we need dogs to be that spoiled? It may be great for some, sure, because some hot days, our pets may not naturally get enough to drink. Others, though, lap up the water like little-big monsters (my Tasha)! (And some don’t need more potty breaks.)
Luckily, the water comes in unflavored, as well, so everyone gets to choose the best for his or her baby’s world.
Now all I need is a true celebrity income to be able to bathe my dogs’ thirsty throats in nothing but the best.

Every since I featured those super cool dog-themed wine accessories a few weeks back, I’ve been thinking that I should probably get myself a little more educated about wines. You know, I’m an adult now. I should probably know about that stuff. It may be time to broaden my alcohol consumption horizons. Besides, I can’t use one of those awesome Boston Terrier bottle stoppers with the box wine I usually keep stocked in the fridge (although the twisty spout is quite convenient).

So I set out to scour the Internet, determined to school myself about some vino. And what did I find? Punk Dog Wines! A rebellious winery in California that isn’t afraid to shake things up by mixing grapes from different regions and blending varietals that “shouldn’t belong together.” Their goal is to create wines that are big, bold and slightly edgy, inspired by their mischievous little rascal, dog Sophie.
Sophie’s Romp is a cabernet sauvignon with bold fruit and toasty chocolate and vanilla flavors. Apparently, it’s quite a lip-smacker. Yummy. Sophie’s Riddle merlot is a more laid-back wine, a “sit by your side in the afternoon companion everybody loves.” The easy-to-drink fruit forward flavor comes from an unconventional blend of top quality varietals that they keep secret, hence the name Sophie’s “Riddle.”
Wines with punk rock attitude? Oh, yeah. I might be ditching the box wine for good.
