Rain, Rain Come & Stay with Dog Raincoats

Well, you know what they say, “April showers bring May flowers.” It hasn’t been the rainiest April here in the District, but that’s not to say a nice raincoat wouldn’t do Scouty some good. She hates going out in the rain and getting her beautiful fur all wet and soppy. Not to mention rather smelly, but being smelly never bothered Scout, hence her nickname, Stinky…

Avi

Anyway, I’m sure that we are bound to have many a rainstorm this spring and summer, and Skookum Designs is just the place to find a high-quality, high-fashion slicker for your pooch.

Skookum Designs carries an entire line of modish, water-resistant raincoats designed for the most discerning pets and pet-mamas and papas. Take for example, the Aviator Raincoat. This warm, attractibe coat is made from imitation leather and is lined in a thick cream sherpa. A slicker like this will look gorgeous on all dogs—big and small.

Pirate

Or, dress up your love in the Madonna Slicker. Appropriately named, this luxurious coat is made with faux-crushed “pleather” and accented with black-and-silver faux fur. This retro raincoat is then finished with a Cameo button on the front closure for ultimate style.

But the one raincoat that really sticks out for me is the Pirate Gal Raincoat, (surprise, surprise!) which features pink-and-black faux leather with a sequin and beaded skull and cross bone adorning the back. Pirates are hot! So is this coat.

You know, honestly, all of the raincoats by Skookum Designs are exquisite. Even if you think that your dog doesn’t need a slicker, stop by the website just to see the exclusive Cabaret Corsett Raincoat, which was featured in the Chicago Triune. I guarantee you will have a chuckle. I did!

Skookum Designs. Strange name. Great site.
