Aside from being a pet product connoisseur, I’m also a licensed cosmetologist. As such, I believe I should probably adopt a girly-dog, because I adore all of the scrumptious canine grooming products the Murphy Man is a little too tough to use.

Now I have another reason to add to list of reasons to adopt Murphy a little sis. Dog nail polish! Maxee Alexander offers a line of polishes specifically designed for furry divas, called Color Paw. These pretty polishes are safe for puppy’s paws, quick-drying and water-resistant for long-lasting loveliness.

Color Paw dog nail polish comes in 10 fanciful shades like Drama Queen, Bubble Gum, Pumpkin Patch, Grape Escape, Blue Suede Shoes and Seaside Surf, so you’re sure to find one to suit your pretty pooch.

Not sure how to give your baby a proper pedicure? Check out Sekc’s Zoo for step-by-step instructions on how to clip, buff, and polish your puppy’s toes to perfection. You can also see an amazing array of photos of the Zoo’s spokes-dog, Souffle, and her pretty paws, decked out in polish with rhinestone, stripe, and glitter decorations. Some of Souffle’s designs are quite advanced, and not recommended for doggie pedicurist beginners, but they are definitely impressive. Especially the mama-and-me nail designs of the Mexican flag and candy cane stripes.

Spring is coming, ladies. When you head off for your first pedicure of the season, don’t forget your lady dogs. Glossy, colorful toenails are the hallmark of warmer weather and look delectably elegant not only in peek-a-boo open-toe kitten heels, but also crowning furry feet. Canine ladies deserve to have their toes pampered, too!
