Fancy Shmanchy Dog Pavilion
January 25, 2006 at 3:54 pm by J*B*While I was out shopping today, Scout got her paws on the computer and went online. I don’t mind when she does this because it keeps her out of trouble and from herding JoJo into corners, and such. Anyway, when I came home, she was in a complete tizzy. She told me that she found something she totally fell in love with and MUST have. Well, assuming this must-have item was probably like the other must-have items on her list (medium-sized Greenies, chicken-flavored Nylabones, a bag of Snausages, etc.), I happily agreed to buy it … before I saw what it was.

She led me to the computer room all abuzz, snuffling and snorting away in sheer excitement, and hopped online to her new favorite dog boutique, Paw Printz. What she showed me was a little different than the cat-shaped dog cookies that I was expecting (and a bit more expensive, too).
It seems as if my loving dog wants a David Salmon Pet Pavilion—the Louis XV Style, to be exact. I have to admit, this is one gorgeous piece of dog furniture. I mean, look at it! It is hand crafted in 18th-Century French Rosewood commode. Not only that, but it has a shaped apron with splayed feet and is “surmounted by a hand-carved and water gilded finial.” (I am not sure what that quoted part means, but it sure sounds nice!) No one ever said that my Scouty didn’t have good taste.
So, I tired to explain to Scout that this bed … excuse me, pavilion, cost more than my car, but she wouldn’t hear it. After all, I promised I would buy this for her. Sigh … does anyone have $23,990 I can borrow? Of course she chose the most expensive one, too.
