For some reason, this time of year always makes me want to go to Las Vegas. I don’t know if it’s because my first visit to that fair city took place around this time, or if it’s just because there’s not a whole helluva lot else going on and the weather here on the East Coast is pretty crappy, but I’ve got the Vegas itch and I’ve got it bad.
Unfortunately, until I get my grubby paws on the much-anticipated tax return check from Uncle Sam, I’m pretty stuck. Lucky for me, in the meantime I can live out my gambling dreams by buying Vegas-themed stuff for the Murphy dog.
The Trendy Puppy .Com has an adorable collection of plush toys worthy of the poshest gambling palace. This 3-toy casino set includes the Ace of Bones playing card, a Lucky Dog Casino Chip (worth 100 licks to the face), and the Snake Eyes set of dice on a tough rope tug, perfect for your furry high roller.
Of course, my gambling pup must look the part, and The Ritzy Rover has just the duds to let everyone at the tables know that Murphy doesn’t mess around. Their Casino Hustler tee features a pair of dice and playing cards set inside a roulette wheel, with “Hu$tler” in red lettering. However, I think Murph would prefer the Craps King tee, with the classic flaming dice design, because craps is Mama’s favorite game.
So, when that hot check lands in my mailbox, I’ll pack up the Murphy dog in the Trump House Carrier, featured in one of our early posts, and jet us off to Sin City. But don’t expect a re-cap post of our adventures. Remember, what goes down in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
I’m gonna give it everything I’ve got!
