The 60-GigaBITE iPaw

January 20, 2006 at 3:32 pm by J*B*

Howl out loud, and let the neighbors know what kind of music you and your dog listen to—you with your iPod, Fido with his iPaw!

iPaw

“Under my paw… She’s the sweetest ‘pet’ in the world!” How appropriate that the makers of this delightful iPaw plush would choose “Under My Thumb,” I mean “Paw” as one of the featured Rolling Stones’ songs on this adorable stuffed dog toy.

Rex in the City certainly knows what trends to pounce on, so to speak. It’s no wonder why this is one of my favorite online dog boutiques. I know, I know. I say that about every dog boutique, but I really, really mean it this time.

You have an iPod (one of the most innovative electronic devices in the world, if I may say so myself), so let your little cuddle-bug have an iPaw! If you are a fan of music or even just The Rolling Stones, this is a must for your rock ‘n’ roll pooch.

Hey, DarlaKitt, you with me?

Pets Talk!

January 20, 2006 at 11:00 am by LaLa MaMa

Why do we give our pets voices through our own vocal chords—from our own minds? (Do you do that? It’s something seen in type on many, many pet blogs, including in the occasional post on this one!)

We love them, they are family. We feel that we know them, but we really can’t hear what they are thinking. When we guess what they are thinking, though, why do we state it out loud?

Dog Talk

Animals and Pets are a discriminated against race. (You think I’m loony for saying this?) They aren’t understood by non-pet-people. They can’t comprehend how dogs are like human members of the family; even children.

We are trying, in an offbeat and ineffective way, to make these dogs more human. WE know they have thoughts and personalities, and we want to prove it.

Instead, what we do, if we ever do this in public or to the non-petter, is make pet-people seem nutty.

But it’s not crazy. I think it’s wonderful. It may be a bit strange, but it’s just showing how we love our baby pets.

Go on, talk to your pets, talk back from your pets, and blog about pets!!! If your animal has a story to tell, send it to this blog, even! (mamas@pet-pet-blog.net)

If you have your own thoughts on this, go ahead, use your people voice and view. Mine is a dog-person voice. And I’m just beginning to ponder this topic, so share for perhaps inclusion in the future. The next thought—choosing the tone for the physical voice of your dog. How do you choose what your dog sounds like, and what have you chosen? Do you know why?
