Ode to The Gap
January 14, 2006 at 9:33 am by DarlaKittHow do I love The Gap? Let me count the ways …
They are one of the only stores that carry jeans that actually fit me.
No matter what silly trendy stuff they offer each season, they always have classic pieces that fit my eccentric style.
Their sweaters are of such great quality, they last forever. I’ve had my favorite Gap sweater since I was 15 and still wear it all the time. That sweater’s been with me longer than many of my friends, considering I’m 30 now (cough, cough … I still have trouble saying that …).

And the latest way I love The Gap? They now carry a cozy line of sweaters for dogs! And right now, they’re all on sale! These sweaters boast snuggly ribbed turtlenecks and front sleeves, and are available in five terrific patterns. My favorites are the blue stripe and green argyle designs, made of a soft wool knit blend, heavier than your usual 100% acrylic dog sweaters.

The Gap also offers doggie outerwear in signature classic styles. Their snappy red parka is made of high-quality quilted nylon and sports an adorable faux-fur trimmed hood. For those little lumberjacks, a blue plaid jacket made of a soft woven wool blend and faux sherpa lining is sure to chase away the chill of any wood-chopping morning. If your puppy isn’t as much of an outdoorsman, try the sleeveless faux shearling jacket with a buttery soft suede-like outer shell to warm up your evening stroll.
The Gap. It’s been serving up fashion classics since 1969 … and it’s not just for people, anymore!
