Wintertime is Also for Hockey
January 8, 2006 at 2:52 pm by DarlaKittOkay, so my last post was about what I like to do with Murphy during the winter, so I thought it was only fair to write one about what Murphy enjoys doing with his daddy over the winter months, to keep things fair and balanced. Coincidentally, it also involves cuddling on the couch, only instead of being engrossed in a book (or American Idol)…they watch hockey together. 
Murphy’s daddy, Chris, is a huge Philadelphia Flyers fan and has passed this obsession onto our dog. Unfortunately, the NHL does not license dog apparel, so Murphy can’t wear his favorite team on his back, but there are many other great dog products out there that he can wear to proclaim his status as a “hockey dog.”
Attitude Arcade .Com offers a cool black tee, with the “Hockey Dog” logo, including the phrase “2 Minutes for Ruffing” in red and white lettering. For girl-dog hockey fans, the shirt also comes in pink, with silver lettering.
Murphy loves his red hockey hoodie, from The Puppy Shop, with its great crossed hockey sticks logo. The Puppy Shop also carries a blue hoodie for doggie football fans.
For licensed Philadelphia Flyers pet gear, there’s no better place than Philly Sports Stuff .Com. Here you will find dog collars, leashes and pet bowls emblazoned with the orange and black Flyers team logo. They also carry a snazzy doggie cap, in bright orange, with the Flyers logo on the front.

Or if your dog isn’t into hockey at all (blasphemous!) you can also find NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAA, and even NASCAR stuff on this site. However, as Pet Pet is part of a “fashion” blog, I would hope that none of you reading this would even consider dressing your dog in NASCAR stuff.
In any case, no matter what team, or sport, your dog may be a fan of, there’s lots of great gear out there to help him or her cheer them on to victory.
