Driver’s D-0-G

Okay… now I run across plenty of funny products during my daily Internet search for all things pet-related. I see things that often make me smile. Once in while, I see something that makes me giggle to myself. But this made product me laugh out loud—a Pet Driver’s License! How modern is that?!

Now, naturally I asked myself, “What does Scout need with a driver’s license?” The web site, Chloe’s Cards, states that they are fun (absolutely!) and functional (oh, come on!). How can a pet driver’s license be functional? Yes, Scout wears clothing, yes, she has a bunch of pretty-smelling perfumes, and sure, I treat her more like a person than a dog, but, she sure as rain ain’t driving my car!

So, I asked myself the question again, and kept reading. Well, how about that—they are functional. These cards are a great way to keep your dog’s information with you all the time.

Chloe’s Cards can place your dog’s photo on any state, from New Jersey to Hawaii. And, Chloe uses high-tech dye-sublimation printing, (whatever that means, I’m sure it’s good) so you will receive a valid-looking driver’s license. They even come with a Chloe’s seal of authenticity. I can see it now—somewhere there is a Rottie in his basement forging fake ID’s for the younger pups still in basic training class!

So, next time you get pulled over for speeding, wouldn’t it be funny to show the police officer your dog’s driver’s license instead of your own? Well, maybe not funny to the officer, but if you told me you did that, I would crack up! Ummm… but don’t do that…
