Rephiles

December 9, 2005 at 5:41 pm by J*B*

Now, a reptile is not my pet of choice, however, there are many people who swear that they are the coolest critters around. So, we at Pet-Pet like to believe that we are open-minded pet enthusiasts who would hate to leave animal-lovers of any species out in the cold, so to speak.

So, I set my Internet browsers to all things reptile, and came up with a pretty cool item for all you modern “rephiles.” (Get it? Reptile + philes = rephiles! Well, I thought that was kind of clever…)

Cage

You have to keep your reptile buddy in something, so keep him in something large and stylish! At Cages By Design, check out their reptile enclosure special. This cage is so roomy that any reptile, large or small, would feel right at home. Made specifically for snakes, iguanas, and other reptiles, this enclosure is designed to keep in the proper levels of heat and humidity.

These cages come with many features, such as sliding doors and lock systems, but all stands, hoods, and backgrounds are sold separately. Come on, you know that this enclosure would look so cool in your home!

When I was a child, my mom was going to buy a cute, little lizard. At the time, we thought the kind of lizard we wanted only ate fruits and vegetables. Well, our plans for a cold-blooded buddy were foiled as soon as we learned what they really loved to eat. My mom put her foot down. Mealworms and crickets were not allowed in her house.

Candy Toys… with No Fat!

December 9, 2005 at 4:19 pm by J*B*

These are great, and with half the calories of the originals. No, actually with none of the calories of the originals!

Check out The Pink Paw for the newest addition to their toy line: candy bar-themed toys. Don’t you just love them? My favorite candy bar has always been Milky Way, so I… I mean Scout… Scout must simply have the Milky Woof rubber toy. However, if rubber toys do not interest your dog, try a Mr. GoodDog or an Almondtoy plush toy.

To be honest, Scout actually prefers stuffed toys, so I will most likely buy her the Reece’s plush toy. After all, I have a mantra every Holiday season—“Dog toys are not for you. They are for dogs.” Last Christmas, I forgot my mantra and ended up with these absolutely adorable rubber insect toys that I love. But Scout won’t go near them. Now, what am I going to do with seven rubber insect toys?

So, if I repeat this mantra 50 more times to myself, I will be able march into PETCO and buy the toys that Scout likes, not just the ones that I think are cute! Does anyone else have the same problem?
