Relax Fido
December 5, 2005 at 6:22 pm by J*B*During all the hustle and bustle of the Holiday season, let’s not forget that we are not the only ones who are feeling the pressures of the festivities. While you are shopping to the wee hours of the night, your Fido or Fida is at home patiently awaiting your return. Well, if your dog is anything like mine, “patiently” is not the word I usually would use to describe the period of waiting. The words I tend to use are “anxiously,” “nervously,” and “apprehensively.” Yes, we are considering the benefits of Puppy Prozac.
So, if you have a neurotic dog like mine, maybe this will come in handy during your late-night shopping sessions: Relaxation Music for Dogs and Cats by Janet Marlow. I found this goody at Plastic Puppy. (Strange name, cool products.)
At first I was like, who the heck is Janet Marlow and why would I want her CD? Then, I read the description of the product. Janet Marlow is a composer and a recording artist, who is also an animal advocate. She even was featured on Animal Planet! She composed and engineered this album to provide “a soothing and calming acoustic environment” for all beloved pets. Oh, so that’s why I would want her CD!
I’m going to give this album a shot before I try any kind of medication for Scouty. I might as well. After all, I am all for a natural approach. So, I’ll let you know how it goes. Ah, yet another item to hide inside Scout’s stocking!
