Winter Coats for Dogs

November 26, 2005 at 6:48 pm by LaLa MaMa

The holiday shopping season is upon us, complete with snow, yes, both already! If your furry little puff of love needs a little added warmth on top of her coat, then you should be browsing for coats—dog coats!

Yes, you need to look around and get the right one. Buy an attractive one that is worthy of your darling, but keep in mind his or her own style and personality. You may even think about … what her “color” is! (Charlotte looks smashing in red, just like her mama!)

Parti Poodle Pet Supplies Houndstooth JacketBrowsing pet boutiques leaves me wondering if all doggie items in these fashionable, accessory-dog days, are expensive. The pups sure are worth a treat and the fashions are fab, but sometimes (in the cash-sucking holiday season), some people need a little deal. And some dogs would rather more money be spent on “stuffied aminals” and treats than uncomfortable sweaters that might turn them grouchy.

At least in one stylish department—winter bundle-ups—Amazon can save the (holi)day. I found many coats for under $14! I especially dig the Houndstooth Jacket. It sure is nice, appears slimming and has a full fleecy coverage, but is it too “fabulista” for my Charlotte? (Well, I may not care!) Equally, the East Side Collection’s Faux Suede Dog Coat is quality and versatile.

They’re not red, though. For a higher cost at independent boutiques (good to support): I love the “Lil’ Lumberjack” from Pink Polka Dog, and there’s a holiday special worth 10% off! I’m also interested in the “Jack Plaid Coat” from Paw Palace Online. These might be more rugged, but in male dog way, not the princess-who-likes-to-dig-in-the-backyard way. Boy, “she” is picky—and complex!

There are other needs than the aesthetic requests we have. If your precious pup has a raincoat on her necessities list, Amazon has the very chic 5th Avenue City Slicker. And if you’d like a more stylish winter sweater, they offer the Hooded Nordic Dog Sweater. They have most items in all sizes from x-small (from 8″ +) to x-large (up to 24″).

Whatever it is your puppy needs,
the Internet has it all wrapped up and ready to ship!

Stare At the Ferret

November 26, 2005 at 4:57 pm by J*B*

Dogs are not the only pets who enjoy an adorable pink outfit or a handsome houndstooth coat. There are other fuzzy creatures out there who appreciate the love that goes into a cute sweater made for four feet.

Not only are ferrets adorable wiggly weasels, they are wonderful pets as well. Just ask the millions of people who own them! Similar to their dogs, many people love to show off their ferrets and even take them for walks.

Ferret Sweater Set

At Ferret.com, pick up an adorable lavender walking jacket for your ferret. This helps your ferret exercise while taking in the excitement of the environment around him. It also helps to socialize the critter. I don’t know one person who wouldn’t stop to say “hi,” if he or she saw a ferret walking on a leash.

But as the weather becomes colder, it is important to remember that your ferret may get chilly on those winter frolics. The Ferret Store carries some sweater and t-shirt options to keep your ferret from getting the winter chills. Check out the eye-catching Marshall Hat and Sweater Set. This will be perfect during the colder months. So, you see, ferret clothing is not only fun, it’s functional, too!

We also noticed that most of the apparel made for ferrets is designed for Chrstmas. So, take advantage! Place some reindeer antlers on your ferret’s head this year. Or, how about a Santa’s hat for his tiny nogin? The Ferret Store comes in handy for all of your Christmas-ferret needs. They even sell an entire Santa’s suit for your ferret friend!

Now, if someone told me that there was going to be a ferret dressed up as Santa at her Holiday bash, I wouldn’t want to miss that party!
