Brrrrrrr… Let’s Cuddle!

November 12, 2005 at 12:07 pm by J*B*

Well, I woke up this morning to something very curious and unusual. Curled up in a tight, little ball and leaning on the middle of my back was my Scouty-Girl—on my bed! Now, a dog on the bed is not something out of the ordinary for a lot of people. But, for me, it’s just plain weird. And it’s not because my husband and I don’t allow Scout on the bed. Just the opposite! We encourage her to hop on the bed with us. It’s just that for some reason, Scout never wants to sleep on the bed when we’re on it. So, imagine my surprise when I saw my dog cuddled next to me, sleeping on the bed.

I woke up my husband to show him this rare and lovely sight, but all he did was mumble groggily, “Hmmmm… she must be cold…” and snored back to sleep. Then, it hit me. Scouty doesn’t want to cuddle, she’s frickin’ freezing in here! I got out from under the toasty-warm covers, and looked at the thermometer. It was 55 degrees in the house! Yep, winter’s-a-comin’.

Beanie & Sweater

It’s time to break out the sweaters for you and your puppy pal. The Pet’s Pizzazz is a great place to visit online to choose a warm, comfy sweater for your dog to wear on those cold winter morning walks. I personally love the Roses Sweater and Beanie Set. This gorgeous, detailed, pink sweater comes with a warm beanie hat to protect your dog’s delicate ears from the chilly wind. It’s great for those smaller dogs, like Chihuahuas, Poms, and Min-Pins, whose fragile and perky ears are vulnerable to cold weather.

However, if the girly sweaters aren’t your dog’s thing, head over to Trixie & Peanut. They carry all kinds of colorful hoodies and sweats to keep your dog toasty warm this coming winter. I like the classic and cartoon-y Woof Hoodie. And, the black Playdog Hoodie is perfect for your handsome stud!

Winter is upon us like a cold slap in the face, or in my case a warm fuzzy butt nestled on the crook of my back.
