Cracknip

I’m so embarrassed. I think I turned my cats into junkies.
I had good intentions. I really did. I mean look how adorable these catnip toys are from Fat Cat, Inc.! The Kitten Little line is so colorful and charming. The Cheap But Never Cheesy toys are like pop-art for cat-lovers. Of course, I had to have the Eeeeks in all three colors. And honestly, who can resist “W” in all his political glory (and red cowboy boots)?
See, our dilemma is that all of these lovable toys are all made with Fat Cat’s own Zoom brand catnip. Fat Cat guarantees that this organic catnip will have your cat zooming across the room in fits of playful glee. That’s all well and good, but what they failed to mention is that this stuff is like cat crack.
Every night I wake up to the sounds of a crunching of little chipmunk, a crackling orange bird, or a rattling, psychedelic fish. And when the catnip in their boogie mats has been tapped dry, Roxxy and JoJo look at me with their bloodshot, strung-out eyes, as if they are saying, “Oh, please Mamma, pack it again. I swear, just one more time. Then we promise we won’t ever ask for cracknip… I mean catnip ever again.”
Sigh… Does anyone know a good rehab for cats?
